Description
The 1942 Silver Proof Set contains 6 coins. Walking Liberty Half Dollar, Washington Quarter, Mercury Dime, 2 Jefferson Nickels and Lincoln Cent. Coins were produced at the Philadelphia Mint and both sold individually and in sets. Toward the end of the year, nickels were changed to a 35% silver composition. This set contains both types of nickels. The half dollar had the lowest mintage which was 21,120.
