The 1956 United States mint Uncirculated coin set contains two examples of each coin issued during this time, except for the Half Dollar. Each set included 18 coins: 4 Lincoln Cents (P,D), 4 Jefferson Nickels (P,D), 4 Roosevelt Dimes (P, D), 4 Washington Quarters (P, D), and 2 Franklin Half Dollar (P). Packaging for the sets included two cardboard holders with paper flaps stored in an envelope. The 1956 set has a mintage of 45,475.
